We believe in prevention rather than correction, meaning we teach you how to set up your home and routines so problems don't start in the first place. You can trust our advice is both ethical and effective.
What if I have a medical concern about my cat?
Please remember: advice from The PAWS Approach is not a substitute for veterinary care. If your cat shows signs of illness (vomiting, lethargy, sudden behaviour changes, etc.), please contact your vet first. Our programs focus on behavioural issues, and we always recommend a vet check-up.
Who is the Behaviour Consultation for, and when should I consider it?
Consultations are ideal if your cat's issues are severe, or if you've tried everything on your own without success — for example, anxiety or multi-cat problems. During the consult you'll get one-on-one coaching and a custom plan from our founder. It's also a great option if you prefer live interaction or need extra reassurance.
Consults are a premium service, so they come at a higher fee — but in return, you get dedicated expert time to help unravel your cat's unique circumstances.
What if you are not based in the Canberra or Queanbeyan Region?
No problem at all. Consultations are available virtually via video call, so you can be anywhere in Australia. In my work I've supported clients in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne — distance doesn't get in the way of a good behaviour plan. We still get the full picture of your cat's world, through the screen and supporting videos.
